JOB SUMMARY:
To assume duties and responsibilities of a safety officer in terms of regulation 2191 of Mine Health and Safety Act. - To coordinate and implement legal requirements and safety initiatives. - To conduct and facilitate incident investigations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Site based - solid experience mining construction - must be knowledgeable within the environment min. of 3 - 5 years similar site based role.

Adhere to relevant legislation and Business Unit (BU) requirements

Manage risk by assessing liabilities, reporting and monitoring standards and attending to problems

Create awareness, conduct hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) interventions and address unsafe practices in timeous manner

Qualifications:

N Dip: Safety Management ( Essential/Minimum )

Certificate First Line Management ( Essential/Minimum )

B Tech (Relevant) ( Recommended/Desirable )
