POSITION INFO:
Safety Officer – Residential Developments
Location: Phesantekraal, Paarl & Somerset West
Employer: Leading Property Developer
Employment Type: Permanent

A leading and well-established Property Developer, actively delivering multiple residential building projects, is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to oversee health and safety compliance across sites in Phesantekraal, Paarl and Somerset West areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing and enforcing site-specific health & safety plans
Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
Ensuring compliance with OHS Act and Construction Regulations
Managing safety documentation, permits and registers
Conducting toolbox talks and safety inductions
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
Liaising with site management, contractors and inspectors

Requirements:

Registered Safety Officer with SACPCMP (essential)
Proven experience on residential construction projects
Strong knowledge of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations
Ability to manage safety across multiple sites
Strong communication and reporting skills
Valid driver’s licence
