Risk Officer
The salary would be R15000-R20000 (CTC)
Based in Epping - Western Cape

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

The candidate would need to have a valid driver''s license and own transport as he/she would need to travel between sites.
Risk / Safety Officer will facilitate compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and guidelines, and provides advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations whilst on the constant lookout for violations on site.
The Risk / Safety Officer is a responsible individual who swears by OSH regulations and focuses on prevention.
The main objective of this role is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
Possess a grade 12 certificate or equivalent
Have relevant degree or diploma
Have at least 3 years experience in a general Risk capacity
Ability to understand and apply risk management methodology
Have strong planning, analytical and computer skills
Possess in-depth knowledge and background of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and be able to interpret and implement the relevant legislation
Possess a broad knowledge of the National Environmental Management Act, specifically the Air Quality Act
Be competent in consolidation techniques for risk
Be competent in general financial administration matters
Have experience in presenting and reporting risk statistics to Management
Relevant diploma/degree
Internal or external audit experience
