SUMMARY:
The Pastel Payroll Clerk is responsible for accurately processing employee salaries and wages using Pastel Payroll.

The role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, maintains payroll records, and provides support to employees regarding payroll-related queries.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and responsibilities.
Set up, maintain, and update employee records in Pastel, including new hires, terminations, and changes to job titles or salary.
Process salary adjustments, bonuses, and commissions.
Ensure all payroll files are complete before "rolling over" to the next pay period.
Manage and calculate statutory deductions (taxes, UIF)
Update employee tax status and ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., Basic Conditions of Employment Act).
Generate and distribute employee payslips.

Requirements:
Grade 12
12 months of experience as a Salary clerk.
Must be criminal clear
Willing to learn
