The Rental Agent is responsible for marketing and letting residential or commercial properties, liaising between landlords and tenants, and ensuring a smooth rental process. The role requires strong sales and customer service skills, excellent communication, and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

Market and advertise rental properties across online platforms and other channels.

Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants.

Handle tenant inquiries and provide information on properties, rental terms, and processes.

Screen and assess tenant applications, including reference and credit checks.

Negotiate rental agreements and lease terms between landlords and tenants.

Prepare and finalize lease agreements and related documentation.

Maintain strong relationships with landlords to ensure their properties are leased efficiently.

Provide ongoing support to tenants and landlords during the tenancy.

Keep accurate records of properties, tenant applications, and leases.
Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 (relevant property or real estate qualification is an advantage).

Proven experience in property rentals, real estate, or sales.

Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of property management systems and online property portals.

Highly organized and able to multitask.

Valid driver’s license preferred (if property viewings are required).
