JOB DESCRIPTION:

This highly innovative IT company which offers first class solutions to their clients, is looking for someone to offer sales support to their highly skilled Account Managers in this fast paced Tech environment! For this position, you need to have a good understanding of IT and IT products, and be able to offer high class customer service experience!

Sales Assistant duties include basic quotes, billing, order tracking, etc. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through maximising sales.

Sales Assistant Job Profile

Supply customer quotations
Check stock and pricing from suppliers
Process sales orders and purchase orders in Financial System
Process documents for orders where required
Track and follow up on back orders
Keep Account Managers and / customers informed of ETAs
Respond to client calls and emails
Attend vendor training when required
Assist Account managers in his/her duties
Customer overdue account payment follow up
Assist in documentation for RFQ and tenders
Assist in general office duties
Assist Account Managers to achieve target
Track warrantees and software renewals
Previous experience in a sales support role

Skills required:

3-4 Years’ experience in a Sales Support Position
Basic knowledge & understanding of IT industry, vendors and suppliers like Dell, HP, Sophos, VMWare, Veeam, etc
Good knowledge & understanding of purchasing procedures
Excellent Administrative and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written skills)
Proficiency using MS Office, e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Demonstrate a basic understanding of IT products
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge in Acumatica will be an advantage
Be able to work in a team

Salary: Basic + commission

Education:

Matric Required, diploma or degree in business or other related field preferred
Certifications in Vendor Sales e.g. HP/Dell/Lenovo will be advantageous
