POSITION INFO:
A leader in corrosion protection and engineered maintenance solutions is searching for a Cape Town–based Sales Engineer who thrives in heavy industrial environments. This isn’t product-pushing — it’s solution selling.
If you’re comfortable walking a plant, spotting risks, understanding failure modes, and selling maintenance-based services, this role is built for you.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- 3–5 years’ sales experience in industrial maintenance, coatings, corrosion control, mechanical repairs, or related engineering services
- Strong exposure to plant environments: marine, petrochemical, manufacturing, water/wastewater, food processing, or similar
- Valid driver’s licence & willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape
- Ability to interpret repair scopes, coatings specs, and technical drawings
- A true hunter: proactive, persistent, and commercially sharp
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Proven ability to sell services or maintenance solutions, not catalog items
- Confidence conducting site surveys, identifying risks, and advising on protective systems
- Strong business development capability — from cold calls to securing long-term contracts
- Experience preparing quotes, tenders, and solution-based proposals
- Excellent relationship management with engineers, contractors, and procurement teams
