POSITION INFO:
A global leader in corrosion protection and engineered maintenance solutions is expanding its footprint in Gauteng and needs a driven Sales Engineer who understands the realities of heavy industry.
This role suits someone who has sold services, not products — someone who knows how to walk into a plant, diagnose risk, and position preventative or corrective maintenance solutions that save clients time, downtime, and money.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience selling industrial maintenance, repair services, or engineering solutions
- Exposure to heavy industry: mining, petrochemical, manufacturing, power generation, or water treatment
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally
- Ability to read technical specs and understand coatings/repair methodologies
- Hunter mentality with strong follow-through and professional resilience
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Proven ability to build pipelines and win new business in industrial environments
- Experience conducting technical site assessments and advising on remedial solutions
- Strong commercial skills: quoting, tendering, and presenting tailored maintenance options
- Ability to maintain long-term client relationships with engineers, plant managers, and OEMs
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to identify and convert real opportunities
