SUMMARY:
Mining Sales professional (it''s in your blood and you''re part of the mining family in SA with many personal connections) required for mainly mining as well as petrochemical and agriculture/botany industry consultative National CAPEX and ancillary sales role, based in Johannesburg (on site travel).

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Sourcing new business opportunities and negotiating SLAs with BEE partners such as EPCMs and smaller local businesses for service, parts and consumable sales
Sales of CAPEX equipment and upselling of ancillary products to diversify offering and client relationship management
Set annual business plan and strategy along with GM including potential growth, targets, budgets and action plan and set about achieving
Consultative customised engineering solutions for mainly shaft mining and some open cast mining, liaising with mine managers, ventilation managers, engineers, project managers, procurement and SHEQ managers
Quotations, proposals, presentations and tenders
Negotiations, T''s & C''s, payment terms, sub-contractor agreements, freight/logistics terms
Presentations and technical discussions with clients
Expo''s, Conferences, Trade Shows, Road Shows, dealings with mine rescue and/or mining associations
Regular mining site visits (above and below ground), identify site requirements and develop targeted plan with clients
Engagement with third party suppliers and sub-contractors to manage delivery and commissioning
Provide training on products
Conduct underground mining visits and assessments for installation requirements
Commissioning and servicing on delivery ensuring ISO 9001 compliance
Monthly reports and presentations to senior management on sales figures, forecasts
Advisory to internal project management teams related to production requirements and project fulfilment
Direct dealings with the DMR (Department of Mineral Resources)
SAP CRM

Desired Experience & Qualification

* Engineering qualification (Electrical/Mechanical)

* Proven sales track record in similar role, with established network of contacts (references to substantiate)

* Knowledge of ventilation, drilling, structural support, heavy mining machinery, mine consultancies and mine engineering

* Own vehicle suitable for mining site extensive travel (SUV/Bakkie) - reimbursive travel if company vehicle not available for use, fly and car rental for far reaching places

* Extensive travel throughout South Africa - 2 weeks of the month

* Work autonomously

* MS Office

* Member of a Mining Association an advantage
