QUALIFICATIONS
• Gr12 / Matric / NQF level #4 secondary education qualifications
• Marketing diploma / business administration diploma on NQF level # 5 and a minimum of 3 years’ sales
experience are preferable
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an external sales position

• Comprehensive understanding of the laundry / production process as well as laundry equipment
• Comprehensive understanding of the supply management chain
• Comprehensive understanding of products and the ability to deal with clients confidently from the outset
• Comprehensive understanding of the sales process
• Comprehensive understanding of the negotiating process
• Comprehensive understanding of documentary requirements during submission of proposals and tenders
• Comprehensive understanding of legal implications and requirements regarding service level agreements
and service contracts / proposals / tenders
• Comprehensive understanding of proposal and tender processes
• Comprehensive understanding of products and the ability to deal with clients confidently from the outset
• Understand and implement negotiation process
• Ability to research and source client names to build a comprehensive database
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and accurately in English at all levels
• Ability to coordinate and oversee any new installations or amendments to existing installations at clients
• Ability to correctly complete credit / vendor applications and do invoice reconciliations when required to
resolve client complaints
• Ability to establish, develop and maintain business relationships with prospective clients in the assigned
territory / market segment to generate new business for the organisation’s products / services
• Ability to produce clear and concise written correspondence in the form of letters, emails and proposals
• Ability to source and retain new clients
• Ability to follow up on clients, build relationships and resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently and
effectively
• Ability to successfully market new services / businesses to potential new clients
• Ability to keep abreast of products, product applications, services, technical services, market conditions,
competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
• Ability to travel within the specified area of responsibility
• Proficient computer literacy on MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power point and company related
software systems
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling and time management skills
• Must have own transport and valid driver’s license
