Sales Executive Position Available

POSITION INFO:

Scope of Role:

  • This position demands a dynamic sales individual with a proven and successful sales track record, who will be able to consolidate and align the various sales teams and development of a sales culture displaying both a hunting and relationship driven approach;
  • The Sales Exeutive will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities and maximising sales revenue;
  • A need to develop and deploy successful sales methodologies to increase conversion rates, leading and guiding all sales efforts and team members across the business;
  • Lead the sales and business development effort across the various businesses;
  • Lead the sales teams across the various businesses within a matrix model environment;
  • Assisting in crafting a technology road map to become a diversified business across infrastructure product range and market segments;
  • Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities and drive deals from commencement to execution;
  • Develop the strategy, internal and external partnerships and marketing support needed;
  • Stablish, develop, and maintain relationships with key decision makers;
  • Identify and prioritise the market verticals that are a best fir for the infrastructure business, terms of requirements, performance, and price points;
  • Gain a full understanding of customer sales cycles and provide accurate monthly / quarterly revenue forecasts;
  • Lead and coordinate competitive assessments, determining the strengths and weaknesses of infrastructure and potential competitors in the marketplace;
  • Conduct on-site demonstrations of the product and solution sets and represent infrastructure technology at conferences and tradeshows;
  • Manage customer relationships beyond the close, to ensure expansion and renewal business;
  • Keep track of closed deals and win-loss performance and share your insights and challenges so the team can move faster, improve, and continuously increase sales;
  • Ensure current disparate CRM systems are aligned to the organisation’s objectives and ensure effective and efficient use to provide timeous and relevant insight into the sales effort and progress;

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • The Sales Executive will have demonstrated performance in establishing relationships with successful sales output;
  • Lead sales teams in a matrix type business model;
  • Development of a sales culture and strategy which reflects a hunger for new business whilst recognising the need to build long term relationships with a number of key clients;
  • Work collaboratively with Business Unit Heads to ensure we have the right mix of salespeople to deliver on both the culture and sales strategy;
  • Establishing relationships and closing business with a focus on critical infrastructure deployments;
  • Developing and managing a pipeline for sales activities across a multitude of infrastructure solutions;
  • Focus on pipeline growth and drive opportunities across multiple industry sectors to closure;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers; end users and key partners for the expansion of products and services;
  • Consistently achieve and / or exceed revenue targets and KPI’s;

 

Leadership Capability and Requirements:

  • Communication, both written and verbal, as you will need to communication with technically minded customers and business partners;
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills;
  • Leadership and management skills;
  • Analytical mindset to develop and utilise reliable metrics;
  • Understanding of other non-technical parts of the business;
  • Cooperation and collaboration;
  • Financial skills including budgeting and forecasting;
  • Responsible for accurately forecasting and managing a pipeline to ensure you meet or exceed revenue targets;
  • Creative, innovative, and agile with the ability to think outside the box;

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology / Engineering / Business Administration;
  • Relevant / aligned IT certifications advantageous;
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure technology solutions and enterprise-wide sales;
  • Demonstrated ability and success in developing sales strategies and the successful execution thereof;
  • Demonstrated ability in leading, structuring of disparate sales teams with tangible results;
  • Good technical foundation in understanding technology and communicating the product value proposition;
  • Experience of CRM systems and ensuring they are utilised effectively for aiding the sales effort and providing relevant and timeous insight into the sales effort;
  • Excellent negotiation skills with organised and detail-oriented with follow up skills;
  • Strategic leadership ability; ability to influence, overcome objections and remain resilient;
  • Strong prospecting skills with excellent closing ability;
  • Experience in locating, establishing, and engaging potential customers and channel partners;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, team player, passionate and success-drive.
