SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a “creative” Sales Manager that ideally comes from the Advertising industry, Brand Management or Marketing management background and has sold creative concepts to Brand Managers of FMCG companies.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to increase business capacity by effectively marketing new design concepts from colour management, graphics, wording and ensure the graphics are eye-catching to the consumer. Solutions selling to current, new and potential FMCG customers to forge strong rewarding relationships.

The role requires an experienced innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect creatively to all other aspects of their customers to drive growth opportunities. You will serve as the regional sales lead for the company’s key regional customers while partnering with internal teams to formulate, recommend, and implement innovative and effective creative strategies, solutions and services.

Qualification, Knowledge & Technical Skills Required:

  • Preferably a degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Digital marketing qualification an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years experience in marketing, agency or brand
  • Creative brand knowledge
  • Understanding the FMCG/Food/Beverage market
  • Superior communication skills, both internal and client-facing.
  • Strong relationship management, organizational and project management skills
  • Expert client presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic thinker and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams including creative, media and technical delivery specialists

Key Result Areas:

  • Possess strong business acumen and expertise in developing integrated solutions for multiple content channels, from digital marketing to print/web-based experiences.
  • Ability to interact at the Senior Brand Management level
  • High-level relationship building is a critical component
  • Identify and develop new business, in the Gauteng region
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and incremental opportunities
  • Strong interest in technology and digital marketing
  • Working towards an annual performance budget on new and existing clients
  • Compile reports after each visit, detailing clients visited and opportunities available
