JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Sales Manager
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape) & George (Western Cape)
Salary: Market related salary
Start Date: January 2023

Introduction:
Our client is an accredited manufacturer, supplying a full range of hardware to international markets for use on Steel, Timber, Aluminium and Glass doors and windows.

Primary Purpose of the Position is to plan, coordinate, execute and direct all sales activities effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparing sales budgets and projections.
  • Tracking and analysing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service.
  • Setting discount rates and determining price schedules.
  • Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients.
  • Setting sales quotas and goals.
  • Overseeing and directing performance of the sales team to reach and exceed targets.
  • Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales staff.
  • Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
  • Defining and executing sales plans and meeting growth targets.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
  • Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy.
  • Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives.
  • Planning, organization and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Building or associated industries.
  • Tertiary education in Business Management/ Marketing/ Project Management will be advantageous.
  • Excellent Negotiation & Networking Skills and ability to close business deals.
