Our client is a diversified chemicals manufacturing company. It supplies its products and services to a large number of applications and industries. To consolidate its growth, they are looking for a talented sales manager.

What is in the role
The successful candidate will be part of the executive committee team. He / She will be responsible for all sales and technical support related activities to achieve targeted sales, volume, customers satisfaction and other defined KPIs, as well as act as a lead interface between support functions. The portfolio includes cleaning and disinfection chemicals, water treatment, adhesives, technologies.
Duties will include the following:
- Achieve the sales, expenses, and profits targets
- Develop the sales strategy and implement value proposition model in line with the business strategy
- Manage the existing sales team performance. Recruit, train and supervise regions managers,
sales reps, technical sales support team and onsite technicians.
- Maintain and develop customer relationship to increase sales, explore business opportunities,
and meet their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and troubleshooting when necessary. Customers sites operate 24/7.
- Ensure all the sites serviced by Client are supported adequately with competent trained staff.
- Maintain relationship and provide feedback to Client’s technology partners. (report on sales vs budget per technology)
- Establish market intelligence for the defined portfolios and ensure ongoing market intelligence
- Build with the sales team a robust sales pipeline including all potential customers in every region.
- Drive contract - price negotiations, price adjustments, coordinate surveys, trials, and products selection.
- Draft service level agreements and manage P&L for the key accounts.
- Manage and develop the sales team, technical sales support team and customer service personnel.

- Review projects and technical proposals and recommends on actions and pricing.
- Review tender documents & Commercial proposal.
- Translate key contracts into supply chain relevant actions
- Ensure / maintain data quality (e.g., customer segmentation, sales pipeline, and contract database)
- Share customer insights for product development / improvements.
- Start new customer projects, coordinate actions and execution.
- Lead technical discussions - Involvement in product selection and qualification trials
- Identifies and implements possible improvements to business processes
- Consolidate, track, and monitor sales budgets, and present mitigation plan to close budget gaps and exceed budget
- Responsible for the forecasting & budgeting including S&OP process, coordination of the support functions.
- Reports monthly on forecast accuracy.
- Active attendance in industry associations, forums, fairs, etc. and representation of Client’s interests where needed and authorized
- Ensures all customer service-related actions are up to date (e.g., communication with customers, invoicing,
payments etc.) and the sales process adhere to ISO 9001.
- CRM implementation
- Support the exco team in the day-to-day operations of the business
Qualifications and attributes:
- Bachelor / Minimum 4 - 6 years of professional experience in sales management position
- Results oriented & self-driven
- Comfortable in using and managing a CRM system
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Verbal & written communication skills for training, coaching, and presenting to various stakeholders.
