Sales/ Marketing Professional, Manufacturer, converter and supplier of cellular foam, rubber and plastic film products, Durban/KZN., South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a leading manufacturer, converter and supplier of cellular foam, rubber and plastic film products to the construction, automotive, mining, and general secondary industries, requires the services of dynamic Sales/ Marketing Professional for their branch based in Durban/KZN.

PLEASE NOTE:

The position attracts a basic salary of R35 – R40k per month Plus the following benefits:

1. Pension Fund (12% Company contribution 7.5% Employee contribution)
2. Medical Aid (50/50%)
3. Company car & petrol

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Reporting directly into the Branch Manager, to manage the Sales & Marketing function at the branch and to increase sales volumes in accordance with customer demands and company budgeted forecast commensurate with the Company’s business plan & objectives in managing sales of specific brands linked/open/close cell foam.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Qualifications: Appropriate Sales/Marketing diploma or degree
• Experience: 5-8 years sales & marketing management exposure
• Experience in a foam plastics environment (or similar) advantageous
• Managing the sales & marketing function of the branch
• Conducting Sales and Market intelligence
• Calling on all major customers
• Monitoring Sales performance and objectives from Sales team
• Developing new business
• Achieve Sales budget objectives.
• Ensure updated price list and set selling process with Branch Manager
• Good product knowledge and good communication skills
• Motivating & driving the sales team
• Coaching & guiding sales reps
• Developing & implementing sales strategy
• Computer literate i.e. (Word, excel, Syspro etc)
• Valid driver’s license is essential.
• Doing additional duties as deemed necessary.
