We are a leading provider of high-quality heavy equipment in Southern Africa, specializing in excavators, cranes, concrete equipment, wheel loaders, and road machinery. We are seeking a driven Sales Representative to join our team and help grow our presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
- Identify new business opportunities within construction, mining, infrastructure, and road building industries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct product presentations and on-site demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to meet sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand presence and generate leads.
- Provide after-sales support and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Grade 12 / Matric is a minimum requirement.
- Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing (advantageous).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ sales experience within the earthmoving, mining, or construction equipment industry, specifically in selling Excavators.
- Proven track record of sales success with previous experience in selling products such as Excavators, road, piling and concrete machinery.
- Experience working with both manufacturers and resellers is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of earthmoving machinery and related products.
- Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, strong negotiation skills, and closing sales.
- Mathematical & Financial Skills: Solid understanding of pricing, estimates, and basic financial concepts related to sales.
- CRM & MS Office Proficiency: Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM software packages.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, both in cold calling and general customer liaison.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions effectively.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate them to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Marketing & Business Development: Proactive marketing capacity and the ability to initiate and develop new business opportunities.
- Decision-Making: Sound judgment in making quick and effective decisions.
- Valid South African Driver's License
