JOB SUMMARY:
Our client based in Cape Town, is a Premium supplier of affordable Edge-banding, Thermoformable Foils, Adhesives, Décor and Back to School products. They are currently in the market for a sales representative to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties, but not limited to:
  • Meet, achieve, and exceed sales targets or grow area of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement a Sales strategy for area of responsibility
  • Sales Growth (Value, volume & margin) by existing groups, Develop & Implement customer sales plans
  • Sell & promote the full range of UE products
  • Store visits as per call fixed geographical call cycle to active customers as well as potential customers
  • Determine customer’s exact needs (perform needs analysis), answer customer questions about our products and recommend the right product/solutions for their business/requirements
  • Insure correct range - record issues & action (range review)
  • Provide/facilitate training
  • Develop customer action plans, action plan by customer, reviewed & updated
  • Managed Price Increases, timeously communicated & recorded
  • Maximize sales on promotions, discuss promotions, additional and or prime space, weekend promoting, ensure stock is properly merchandised/displayed
  • Reduce Redundant stock, Identify and sell redundant stock, Slow moving lines in area of responsibility
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the responsibility of a sales rep is to achieve excellent customer service, while meeting Sales Targets. Feedback/responding to clients’ needs to be done daily
  • Know your products & keep up to date on new product ranges ie. New Foils / Edging. Discuss and educate/train customers on products
  • Update customer data on CRM (active and non-active customers)
  • Ensure stock return procedures are adhered to
  • Maintaining of company vehicles (hygiene, maintenance & services)
  • Fuel consumption - route planning & adherence, plan trips and call cycles
  • Abide by general road rules, speed limits
  • Submit petrol slips weekly
  • Ensure Accuracy of credit applications and all relevant paperwork completed
  • Sample requests - ensure correct paperwork and authorized
  • Sales meetings – attend
  • Call schedules/route sheets updated, checked & adhered to
  • Required feedback - quality, due dates met
  • Maintain set standards and layouts, housekeeping, POS maintenance, off shelve displays, cross merchandising, creative displays, promotional stands
  • Ensure correct paperwork signed by customer
  • Ensure prime positions for stands and displays
  • Ensure proposals and stands are discussed, implemented and ready for opening
  • Attend new store openings, customer events, promotional activities
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Experience as a sales representative within the same or similar industry
  • Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Sales or marketing
  • Computer Literate
  • Communicate effectively in Afrikaans & English
