POSITION INFO:
A well-established company, that specializes in sales and marketing is looking for a Sales Representative to join their team in Bloemfontein.
The Sales Representative represent and sell the company’s brand portfolio across a number of channels within the area.

Responsibilities:
- Sell the company’s brand portfolio within her sales area.
- Conduct daily sales calls with existing customers in the sales region and continuously expand the customer database.
- Analyse the sales trends in her area to identify new opportunities or potential risks before the risks can impact the area’s sales performance.
- In consultation with the Sales Manager establish sales targets for her area.
- Develop a sales strategy for her area to ensure that her sales targets is achieved.
- Implementation of sales strategy.
- Understand all brand requirements.
- Track actual sales against targeted sales to ensure targets are reached or timeously implement preventative measures to ensure the targets are reached.
- Actively seeks sustainable sales solutions.
- In collaboration with the Sales Manager, develop a call cycle to ensure that all the customers are called upon regularly.
- Surveying consumer needs and trends
- Actively monitor competitor activities and products in the market and keep the Sales Manager informed.
- Actively recruit new customers to expand the market share.
- Achieve the required strike rates for customer visits per day.
- Achieve the required strike rates for successful customer’s sales made for the day.
- Negotiate, implement and maintain agreed upon Forward Share throughout your area with the necessary POS implementation.
- Focus and drive daily operational standards and requirements:
- Volume targets
- Value targets
- Strike rates
- Ensure that the Sales Manager is kept informed on all sales matters that might impact the performance of her area.
- Provide timeous and complete reports to the Sales Manager as and when required
- Attend and participate constructively in weekly sales meetings with her fellow sales team members.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Educate customers about the Employer’s brand portfolio.
- Maintain and update the customer database for her area.
- Ensure that 100% customer service is achieved.
- Communicate timeously with her customers to ensure that they are informed of all, but not limited to:
- New products
- Promotions and Deals.
- Sales price adjustments.
- Assist the marketing team and sales manager with organising local promotional events like, e.g. festivals, promotions, trade shows, etc.
- Ensure the timely distribution and delivery of the necessary brand POS material according to the overall marketing strategy and any promotional campaigns running from time to time.
- Identify advertising opportunities across the brand portfolio.
- Increase the overall visibility and shelf presence of the brands in the sales area.
- Brief and train promoters on the brand guidelines when necessary.
- Provide brand training and product knowledge to customers and their staff, and relevant stakeholders in your area.
- In conjunction with your direct line manager, design and implement specific remedial promotions or incentives for customers experiencing a decrease in the rate of sales.
- To engage in any key or targeted customer activities
- Assists the Sales Manager with ad-hoc requests without hesitation or resistance.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders
- The SR must ensure that company assets such as Personal Computers, Cell phones, Tables under her control are looked after well.
