Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing our customer base, monitoring and reporting on competitors'' activities, and ensuring that company equipment is specified and communicated to the relevant staff. Key Responsibilities:  Maintain regular contact with existing customers to discuss established product and new product implementation.  Monitor and report on competitors'' activities.  Extend the customer base by finding new and sustainable customers.  Ensure that company equipment is specified and specification changes are communicated to the relevant staff.  Submit tender documents, attend tender openings and clarification sessions, and ensure that all tender feedback is suitably recorded for future market analysis.  Compile an annual plan and budget for roadshows, key customer visits, exhibitions that should be attended by the company.  Travel to SADC countries to market the products when needed.  Coordinate and conduct factory visits for customers.  Coordinate and attend marketing shows such as AMEU, Electra Mining, Enlit, etc.  Monitor publications for any tenders and obtain tender documents for customers.  Aid customers in compiling specifications and/or tender documents where needed.  Follow up on tenders and control information flow between the company and clients.  Act as a company representative in a professional and ethical way.  Maintain knowledge in respect of the product offering and product capabilities.
Requirements:  National diploma or N6 in electrical engineering.  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the DC/Switchgear related industry and industrial battery experience.  Sales experience in the AC/DC industry.  Knowledge of DC power systems.  Good commercial insight and attitude required.  Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects, and SYSPRO).
