Sales Unit Manager

SUMMARY:
Our Midrand client is looking for a Sales Unit Manager with 5 years sales management experience to manage the sales on achieving sales targets.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 and Sales, Marketing, Technology and/or commercial degree or equivalent education/industry experience
• 10 years sales experience in the IT industry (essential), in IT distribution
• Successful account management experience and technical sales experience
• Good understanding of GP ratios, formulas, ROE fluctuations and implications thereof
• End-user and software sales experience

Responsibilities

• Sales – Drive sales to meet team targets monthly, quarterly and annual gross profit target;
• Understand key brand strategies and focus activities to deliver on partner recruitment and enablement goals;
• Engage with Business Units to skill up, grow competencies and train reseller channel in vendor programs and technologies; to drive share of wallet;
• Manage sales process to optimise on all opportunities;
• Monitor gross profit and manage Channel’s expense budget;
• Exposure – Grow company visibility both with customers and vendors alike through onsite visits, event attendance and general contact;
• Better understand competitive market, demands, pricing positioning, unique selling points, differentiators, challenges; with the view of improving service levels and increase market share
