SUMMARY:
We are hiring: Sales and Field Application Engineer – Electronics.

POSITION INFO:
A leading electronic component distributor, serving South Africa’s OEMs, design houses, and manufacturing sectors with world-class products and technical support. Representing top global brands, we are known for our in-depth product knowledge, responsive service, and hands-on engineering support. We’re looking to grow our Cape Town team with a technically strong and commercially driven Sales and Field Application Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts
Provide technical support to customers on product selection, integration, and system-level design
Collaborate with global suppliers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training sessions
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals in response to customer inquiries and tenders
Maintain CRM data, sales reports, and opportunity pipelines
Attend supplier workshops, industry events, and customer visits (field-based role)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

National Diploma or Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
3–5+ years' experience in technical sales, FAE, or electronic component distribution
Solid understanding of electronic components (analog, digital, power, sensors, MCUs, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally
Experience with embedded systems, circuit design, or product development
Existing network in the Western Cape electronics industry
Familiarity with global electronics suppliers and product lines
