The Role: Sales and Marketing Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to spearhead business development and marketing initiatives within the logistics industry. This role is ideal for an industry professional with proven transport broking experience, a strong network of contacts, and the ability to secure and manage high-value accounts. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and shaping the company''s market presence.
Key Responsibilities

Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within the logistics/transport industry

Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share

Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities in freight forwarding, transport, and logistics

Leverage industry network to secure new clients and partnerships

Oversee transport broking operations to ensure profitability and efficiency

Build, mentor, and lead a small sales team to meet objectives

Manage client relationships with a focus on retention and service excellence

Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities

Collaborate with executive management on strategic growth initiatives
About You

Proven background as a Transport Broker with strong commercial acumen

Established network and client contacts in the South African logistics sector

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills

Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team

Durban-based or willing to relocate (remote work with Durban preference)

Highly motivated heavy hitter with a track record of exceeding targets

Advantageous: experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, and 3PL solutions

Advantageous: tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Logistics
