Our client, a diverse injection moulding and plastics manufacturing company, is seeking to employ a Sales and Merchandising Representative at their plant in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

This role is not a senior or management role but rather a Key Account Manager role, with a wholesale or FMCG trade business development background in high end products
Â
Please note that due to the urgency to place this role, commitment to community upliftment and the lower level of the position, our client will only be reviewing candidates currently in the Cape Town or Winelands region.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

KEY CRITERIA TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
Â
- You must have Matric, coupled with 5+ years experience in business development and key account management in the FMCG or Wholesale trade supply sector
- You will have proven experience establishing solid relationships with real buyers, and commercial role players in the retail sector, with the view to promoting and trading volumes of quality products.
- You must have a solid understanding and proven experience in expanding the brand and product listing with both new and existing candidates
- Previous experience in managing in-store staff and sales support staff is essential
- You will have had previous working experience in a fast paced and multi-faceted manufacturing environment
- You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
