Sales and Operations Planner

SUMMARY:

Overall Responsibility:

Responsible for delivering the monthly Sales & Operations Plan including sign off of sales forecasts, agreeing the monthly production and MRP plans, effective regional deployment against agreed stock levels and ensuring a weekly report back loop and re-plan were necessary. Plays a key support role in the development of annual sales forecast for the budgeting process.

Key Performance Areas:

KPA1 - Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process Management

• Responsible for establishing, strengthening, and maintaining the integrity of the demand planning process of the organization
• Manage sales forecasting process for new and existing products
• Provide support in developing seasonal demand/supply forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts
• Ensure cross-functional alignment in delivering S&OP plan including sales, production, procurement, finance
• Initiate discussion and escalation of supply risks and opportunities for leadership team intervention.
• Maintain supply plan to ensure cost-effectiveness and to meet customer demands (Service levels)
• Update sales team about product availability
• Address supply related queries and issues in a timely manner

KPA2 - KPIs and Continuous Improvement

• Support core S&OP KPI''s
• Monitor S&OP core KPIs
• Identify risks and opportunities to the forecast based on statistical analysis, activity evaluations and customer feedback.
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans

KPA3 - Stakeholder Management

• Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with stakeholders
• Build and expand strong supplier (SGX and DC''s) and customer relationships.
• Liaise with customers, sales team, and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure adherence and achievement of the plan

Requirement for the position

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain / Economics / Statistics or Similar
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a demand and supply planning role
• Knowledge of production/manufacturing operations
• Financially literate and astute
• Proven track record in a medium to large size organization.

• Good business sense and a professional manner.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing (preferably food/beverage industry).
• Deadline driven, and results orientated.
• Solid analytical ability.
• Computer literate (MS Office -focus on Excel / ERP System). Preference is given to an Excel superuser
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Ability to process and interpret data
• Self-Motivated and high level of personal discipline
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Able to handle work pressure.
