SUMMARY:
Saw Operator _West Rand Engineering Krugersdorp

POSITION INFO:

A fixed term vacancy exists for a Operator to 0perate band saws using different materials supplied and checking their finished products.

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Select the correct material and operate the assigned machine according to operating procedure.
• Inspect equipment daily, including nozzles, saw blades, and machine condition.
• Ensure the first completed part is checked by quality control before production begins.
• Perform routine machine checks and report maintenance problems.
• Use the correct program and safely load material into clamps or chucks.
• Follow strict safety rules, especially around hydraulic clamps, and always wear PPE.
• Measure components during operation and complete process inspections every 2 hours.
• Identify possible quality issues and maintain required production output.
• Handle components carefully to avoid damage.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the day and at shift end.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

• Minimum Matric / Good command of English.
• Minimum 5-year experience in same or similar environment (Engineering).
• Be able to read drawings and be able to use and read measuring tape.
• Be able to take instructions without a challenge.
• Must be confident, dynamic and sensitive to details.
• Must be honest, reliable and of pleasant personality.
