SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunity
is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: School Management Admin Intern

Stipend: R7500,00

Location: Gauteng (Mamelodi East)

POSITION INFO:
About the role
To provide administrative support to the school management team and ensure efficient daily operations of learner records, communication, and office coordination.

Responsibilities:

Maintain learner registration files and update records
Capture attendance for learners and staff
Assist with admission and enrolment processes
Prepare letters, forms, and school communication to parents
Manage filing systems (physical and digital)
Support timetable coordination and classroom allocations
Assist in organising meetings, events, and school programmes
Handle reception duties (answering calls, welcoming visitors)
Maintain inventory records for school resources
Assist with reporting to the Department of Education where required

Minimum Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric.
Qualification in Public Management / Office Administration / Education Support
Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, Email)
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work with learners, parents, and staff professionally
