POSITION INFO:

Role Purpose:

The Scrum Master will be dedicated to drive delivery for both business as usual tasks and project related work. They will be dedicated to lead derivables in the Data & Integration space. They will be responsible for embedding the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe Framework) through delivery, removing impediments from the Data team’s workload, while promoting self-management and constantly improving our New Ways of Work. Leading the quarterly Program Increment planning sessions that provides a view of our workload to our business stakeholders and ensures proper preparation for the work for the upcoming quarter. Leading all projects, either initiated by business or by the Data stream, in ensuring those are delivered within budget and agreed timelines and is properly capacitated for success. Negotiating timelines on delivery with Product Owners and ensures that user stories are prioritized in line with the Data & Integration prioritization criterion. Assessing incoming workload against available capacity, and advising the Data Stream Leads accordingly on availing resources Assisting and guiding the Data & Integration team on proper sizing of user stories and tasks

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

• 5 - 8 years Project Management and 3 years Scrum Master experience preferably within short-term insurance

• Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, procedures and SDLC

• Sound understanding of short-term insurance is a key aspect of this role, and non-negotiable

• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, analytical and problem solving skills

• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.

• Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment.

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types collaboratively

• Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential.

• Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.

• Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management/ Data & Information Management/ Computer Science, or equivalent

• Certified Scrum Master
