Sea / Air Freight Operations Controller - Stanger

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Matric.
• Post matric studies in Supply chain.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literate – MS Office and Cargowise.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years working experience in import & export, air & sea, clearing & forwarding controller duties.
• Good knowledge on export shipment requirements.
• Supply chain solutions.

OVERALL RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:
• Manage and provide regular update on the status of clients purchase orders.
• Manage exceptional crisis shipments in effective and professional manner.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and our global partners.
• Processing of all shipments on Cargowise.
• Ensuring all relevant documentation is timeously and accurately received.
• Checking documents and invoices for accuracy.
• Liaise with all third-party service providers with regards to execution and paperwork.
• Filing and E-docs in line with ISO requirements.
• Rate negotiations.
• Building solutions on new routes and suppliers.
• Work together as a team.
• Build relationships with the client at a strategic level to ensure we are adding value.
• Engage with the client on future opportunities, projects or business needs.
• Work closely with the team to drive continuous improvement
