SUMMARY:
ï‚· Provide effective office and general administrative support to the Department of Electrical Engine

POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
The purpose of this post is to provide general secretarial support to the Department of Electrical Engineering in
addition to assisting the HOD and academic staff with administrative support.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
ï‚· Provide effective office and general administrative support to the Department of Electrical Engineering and the
HOD
ï‚· Internal and external public relations and liaison
ï‚· Filing and information management
ï‚· Financial administration and assistance with budget monitoring on ITS
ï‚· Provide front office support, manage the office and respond to enquiries
ï‚· Coordinate departmental functions and meetings
ï‚· Managing accurate calculation and capturing of marks on the ITS system.
ï‚· Travel and accommodation arrangements (local and international)
ï‚· Coordination, management and the assisting with preparation of ECSA accreditation documentation and
evidence.

REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered, applicants must have:
• Grade 12
• at least three (3) years’ experience in which competency has been gained, preferably in a tertiary educational
environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with :
• relevant experience in the higher education environment and systems
• M+1 qualification or higher
