Requirements

• DMR/ MQA Blasting Certificate
• Shift Supervisor Certificate
• Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency
• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• Management Development Programme will be advantageous
• 3-Years working experience as a Shift Supervisor
• 3-Years working experience as a Mine Overseer
• 3-Years appointed as a 2.6.1 in preferably in a conventional narrow reef mining environment

KPA

• Ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively and safely on a sustainable basis for the shaft
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for a shaft(s) and directly assist the Mine Manager in the tactical management process
• Act as the custodian for innovation, technology and best practices at shaft level
• Ensure environmental and social concerns are managed as a strategic focus area at shaft level
• Ensure effective asset management processes are implemented and adhered to
• Understand the impact of relevant legislation on the mining discipline and ensure compliance
