Security Specialist Africa and Middle East

SUMMARY:
An established international manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals is seeking the above to set the risk-based intelligence-led agenda for security in AME and, in collaboration with the Business Area Leadership Team, embed the security mind-set and culture in all business operations within the area, whilst providing implementable and sustainable security solutions to the business by creating, modifying and enhancing programs.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a relevant Bachelor degree
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Security (public/private) will be required
• At least 1 year management experience, with the ability to lead programs and influence employees, is essential
• Previous program management and leadership experience at multiple countries level will be an added advantage
• Must have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a global team
• Excellent verbal and written skills are required in order to communicate program effectiveness to stakeholders and leaders

• Implementing and enforcing a vigorous and robust security program in the assigned business areas.
• Enhancing the company’s license to operate by enabling the business to own and act on their security mandate in line with company expectations and external regulations and requirements.
• Ensuring that effective support and expertise on security programs is provided and properly embedded at territory leadership level.
• Engaging with Business Area Leadership and Business Partners ensuring clarity on security programs and requirements.
• Leading the regular monitoring, review, assessment, mitigation and response to security risks, issues and incidents to enable the business to operate effectively..
• Leading the Anti-Illicit Trade Program in the assigned business areas, implementing solutions for deter, detect and respond to counterfeiting issues.
• Pro-actively identifying potential areas of security vulnerability and risk in the business area.
• Deploying global online and offline solutions to detect illegal products.
• Deploying investigators aiming to obtain admissible in court evidences of infringements.
• Driving enforcement of anti-illicit cases.
• Delivering training and awareness campaigns on illicit trade to employees and external stakeholders such as Law enforcement authorities.
• Performing site security risk assessments and reviews.
• Maintaining a robust people security program in the region.
• Developing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Sharing learnings from the territory with the corporate security team and other Legal department colleagues in Africa and Middle East and continuously improving the global security programs.
• Developing partnerships with key governmental agencies, external 3rd parties and resources.
• Leading, managing and supporting compliance with applicable government security regulatory programs through leadership or partnerships with additional stakeholders.
• Providing ongoing reporting to territory and regional leadership, key stakeholders, business partners and governmental agencies ensuring visibility to and clarity on applicable security programs, requirements, issues, incidents and effectiveness.
