Seed Specialist Vegetables

SUMMARY:
A specialised agricultural seed supplier is seeking a dynamic Seed Specialist to market products by providing technical support to clients through the development, delivery and offering of programs, manuals, training, and other information concerning the Company’s seed portfolio, within the Mbombela and surrounding areas.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have an Agricultural related tertiary qualification or a Senior Certificate with relevant experience
• Previous experience within the agricultural or seed industry is essential
• Must have good sales and marketing skills
• Crop and/or seed knowledge is required
• Must be able to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing consultation on vegetable crops, oil crops and cover crop production varieties, best suited for the farmers’ production system, demands and climatic environment.
• Ensuring monthly sales targets, provided for each region, are met.
• Maintaining existing client relations as well as establishing relationships with new clients.
• Conducting trials and evaluations on new vegetable crop varieties, on various farming production environments.

 

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
