POSITION INFO:
ð¢Hiring: Senior Accountant – Full Accounting Function
ð Location: Kempton Park, Johannesburg East
ð Industry: Small but Thriving Electronic Manufacturing Firm
ð° Salary: R 500 000 – R 600 000 CTC per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting for multiple small enterprises
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements
Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure tax and statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, income tax, etc.)
Liaise with external Auditors and manage annual audits
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures
Support cash flow management, cost control and operational reporting

Requirements:

BCom Degree in Accounting or related Finance qualification
Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience or 2-3 years post-articles experience
Excellent proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Xero, or Pastel)
Manufacturing industry experience, especially in SMEs, is highly beneficial
Hands-on, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
