SUMMARY:
A reputable financial services group, based in Johannesburg, is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee the full accounting function across several entities. This is an ideal role for a hands-on, detail-driven finance professional who thrives in a structured, performance-oriented environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit VAT reconciliations and tax returns, ensuring full compliance with SARS regulations.
Manage monthly accounting processes, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
Oversee daily financial operations such as payment reviews, ledger re-allocations, and supporting bank reconciliation processes.
Liaise with internal and external Auditors and maintain financial records up to financial statement level.

Requirements:

BCom in Accounting (Honours or completed SAIPA articles advantageous).
5–7 years of accounting experience within a financial or credit-focused environment.
Strong working knowledge of VAT, tax legislation, and compliance procedures.
Experience with foreign currency transactions and reconciliations is highly beneficial.
