POSITION INFO:

A leading manufacturing company is looking for a confident, detail-focused Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, product-driven environment and enjoys combining structure, problem-solving, and accountability. You'll support the Financial Manager, manage core accounting functions, assist with reporting and month-end close, and play a key role in streamlining processes and ensuring financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Preparing accurate monthly management accounts
Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the GL
Assisting with budgeting, forecasts, and cost allocations
Supporting internal and external audits
Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and identifying opportunities to improve processes
Collaborating with operations and supply chain to ensure accuracy in financial data
Reporting on variances and providing insights to management

Requirements:

BCom in Accounting (essential)
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles (preferred)
Minimum of 5 years' post-articles experience in a finance or accounting role
Experience in or exposure to the manufacturing or industrial sector is highly advantageous
Strong grasp of general ledger, reconciliations, journals, and month-end processes
Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-focused, deadline-driven, and a natural problem solver
