An established organisation based in Centurion is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will take ownership of full accounting functions, reporting, and team supervision. This role is ideal for a confident, technically strong professional with a passion for finance, particularly within the engineering or mining environment. Preference will be given to female candidates in line with the company’s equity objectives
POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage reporting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual packs.
- Supervise and mentor direct reports within the finance team.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support audits, tax submissions, and statutory requirements.
- Engage with operational teams within engineering/mining for financial insights.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BCom Accounting with SAIPA articles preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-article experience.
- Strong managerial experience with direct reports.
- Proven experience in financial reporting.
- Exposure to engineering or mining environments advantageous.
