SUMMARY:
A leading innovator in sustainable energy solutions is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing accounting operations using Xero and Cin7 Core. This role supports strategic financial decision-making and assists the Financial Executive with year-end processes and audits. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Accounting Prepare monthly, quarterly management accounts packs. Manage general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations in Xero. Lead month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations. Systems & Integration (Xero + Cin7 Core) Maintain and optimise Xero accounting system. Manage and reconcile inventory, COGS, and stock movements via Cin7 Core. Ensure accurate integration between Cin7 Core and Xero. Investigate and resolve system discrepancies. Generate inventory valuation and margin reports. Operational Finance Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Monitor cash flow and working capital. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Provide financial insights and analysis. Compliance, Audit & Year-End Prepare and review tax submissions (VAT, income tax.) Support internal and external audits. Assist the Financial Executive with preparation of year-end packs. Respond to and resolve audit queries. Maintain strong internal controls. Leadership Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Drive process improvements and system efficiencies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) preferred. 5-8+ years of experience. Experience with Xero and Cin7 Core essential. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management.
