SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support and manage its core accounting function. This is a hands-on, on-site role covering full-function financial accounting, reporting, controls, and close processes within a manufacturing and storage environment.

POSITION INFO:
Based in Gauteng, the business operates within the industrial storage and warehousing sector, supporting logistics and distribution activities across its customer base. The role works closely with operational teams and requires a practical, detail-oriented approach to financial management and compliance.

This opportunity is well suited to a Senior Accountant who values operational exposure, enjoys working close to the business, and wants to contribute meaningfully to day-to-day financial oversight and decision-making

Duties

Perform full-function financial accounting, including ABC costing (materials)
Oversee DR & CR postings, controls, and reconciliations
Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with IFRS or GAAP
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Coordinate and support internal and external audits
Review and supervise junior staff’s work, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Maintain and utilize advanced Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage)

Skills & Experience:

BCom in Accounting or a related field (Essential)
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (Essential)
Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (Highly advantageous)
