POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established organisation in the Western Cape. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where accuracy, compliance, and commercial insight are key to business success. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the finance function, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining statutory compliance, and supporting senior leadership with meaningful financial analysis. This position also offers the opportunity to lead key accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business. Duties: Oversee the full month-end accounting process, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations Review and manage the creditors and debtors functions Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns Liaise with SARS and other regulatory authorities on tax and compliance matters Coordinate the year-end audit process, including audit schedules and supporting documentation Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support business decision-making Qualifications & Skills: BCom Accounting or related qualification Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
