Requirements, Experience and Qualifications Financial Accounting Degree. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accountant role. Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Sage Evolution and Sage Intacct. Recent experience in stock and fixed asset accounting is essential. Key Responsibilities Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Perform financial reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and financial requirements. Assist with audits and regulatory reporting. Work closely with Facility Managers to support financial processes and reporting requirements. Meet reporting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of accounting principles, South African tax regulations and compliance standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads. Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-reliant, flexible, energetic and confident.
