Senior Accountant (6-month contract)

SUMMARY:
An established organisation in the mining and construction sector is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract role.

POSITION INFO:
This position can become permanent and requires a results-driven finance professional with strong technical expertise and exceptional reporting skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements and management reports
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights
• Manage month-end processes and ensure reporting accuracy
• Develop high-quality financial presentations for management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes

• CA(SA) with minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience in mining OR
• BCom Honours in Accounting/Finance with 5–7 years’ relevant experience
• Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint presentation skills
• Experience in mining, construction, or similar capital-intensive industries preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
