SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a producer of innovative agricultural products. They have various plants in the Boland area from where they export the products across the world. They are recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Accountant to drive the financial operations of the company. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be based in Wolseley.

Job description:

Financial reporting in IFRS for SME’s and management reporting
Monthly preparation of VAT and PAYE returns for submission on E-filing
Creditor and debtor management
Prepare monthly financial schedules for departments
Audit preparation
Implementation of new financial processes
Cost calculation
Import and export administration
General administration

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification with completed Articles
Honours or qualified CA will be a distinct advantage
3 – 5 years’ experience as an Accountant
Extensive knowledge of Pastel, able to work on Excel and Word

Soft Skills

Good communication skills - must be able to communicate on all levels
Able to work under pressure and independently
Honest and reliable
