POSITION INFO:
The Role:
Essential functions:
- Overseeing, reviewing, and reconciling creditors, debtors
- Overseeing, reviewing, and reconciling general ledger balances
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and business unit review meetings to senior management.
- Assisting in preparation of monthly 13-week cash management forecasts
- Ensuring weekly payment packs and prepared timeously with all relevant back up documentation according to company policies
- Compiling intercompany reconciliation weekly
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasting
- Ensuring month-end and year-end accounting procedures are adhered to and that all figures comply with International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards
- Assisting with the preparation for half year-end and year-end financial audits by liaising with auditors and ensuring all requests are answered and submitted.
- Performing additional work outputs related to the role.
Skills and Experience:
Essential Qualification:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Diploma in Management Accounting of B Com (Accounting) or studying towards
Experience required:
- Function related experience 3 â?? 5 years
- Leading small teams: 2 â?? 3 years
- Other experience: 3 years Microsoft office experience, 3 â?? 5 years Accounting
- Software experience
- Work environment
- Office environment.
