JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Accountant - R25k - R32k/month - Noordhoek (CT) - Perm - Start ASAP!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our well-established client in Noordhoek is looking for an experience Senior Accountant to join their team urgently!

Key Criteria:
• Completed financial degree
• Completed articles advantageous
• 4 years min relevant practical experience
• Knowledge of IFRS and VAT
• Pastel Partner Accounting
• Pastel Partner Payroll
• Microsoft Excel advanced
• Stable track record with excellent references
• Code 08 & own car
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans
• Exposure to the hospitality/wine industry will be advantageous

Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Review and preparation of accounts for multiple entities from wine farming and production to restaurants and investing.
• Calculating and posting of various sales, cost of sales and payroll journals for the different entities.
• Domestic banking on Standard Bank CATS, Nedbank Business and Investec.
• International banking on Standard Bank Business Online and E-Market Trader
• Completion of monthly vat returns for nine entities.
• Preparation and review of management accounts.
• Preparation of documentation for audit.
• Submission of Bi-annual and annual PAYE reconciliations on Easyfile.
• Reconciliation of 20 intercompany loan accounts
• Monthly review of customer and supplier age analysis
• Updating of asset register, calculations and posting of depreciation journals
• Assisting the GFM and managing of accounts staff wherever needed
Candidates need to reside in the South Peninsula or within reasonable travelling distance from Noordhoek.
