Essential Requirements: The suitable candidate must have solid experience with TAX, drawing up of AFS and solid knowledge of IFRS and IFRS16

JOB TITLE :  Financial Manager              

PURPOSE :   Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff.  Assist in maintaining the financial health of the organization.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Accounting BComm with Hons Degree
• Completed Articles preffered 
• Min 5 years experience in the capacity as a FM
• Knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and regulatory standards.
• Supervisory experience.

MAJOR TASKS (RESPONSIBILITY) :    

• Completing and submission of monthly management account.
• Provide GM Finance with reasons for variances between actual and budget.
• The drafting and finalizing of the annual financial statements.
• Calculation of annual and provisional taxation.
• Control item master relating to all aspects of costing; update all items with new cost prices.
• Control creation on AX and the distribution of Bill Of Materials to production.
• To simulate sales pricing, increase and justification to customers.
• Reviews reconciliations ensure outstanding items are cleared.
• Maintain AX general ledger master data, update with new accounts.
• Accounts payable – 
• Check correctness of documentation local and foreign.
• Authorize payments local and foreign.
• Authorize stock invoices for payments
• Authorize petty cash reimbursement.
• Supervise month end.
• Maintain AX modules and assist staff with queries.
• Assist with internal and external audits and system audits.
• Assist with BBEEE audit.
• Year-end closure of financial period in AX.
• Budget  - 
• Supply figures as required.
• Create templates, assist managers with departmental information.
• Assist with preparation.
• Controls cash flow and investments.
• Control company secretarial documentation and update CIPC system.
• To ensure financial legal requirements are adhered to.
• Supervise, train and assist financial staff.
• Assist finance staff with logical errors before escalating it to management.

AUTHORITY- : 

• Report any abnormalities to management.
• Supervise and check routine accounting work.
• Stop any process where a non-conformance or potential non-conformance may occur and implement corrective and preventative action.
• Co-sign cheques and co-authorize EFT payments.
• Authorize journals, creditors, reconciliations and invoices for payments.
• To reject and report any process that does not conform to requirements.
