Senior Administrator :Student Fees-Ref 72-Internal

SUMMARY:

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the student accounts section:

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting/Finance or Equivalent.
• 3-5 Years’ experience in a Student Accounts division at a Higher Education Institution/ Finance sector
• Advanced knowledge of ITS or relevant student system
• Good interpersonal as well as sound communication skills
• Candidate must demonstrate supervisory skills and be computer literate

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensures that all procedures and policies of the Student Accounts Office are in place and adhered to
• Performs monthly reconciliations
• Supervises Student Accounts Staff in the absence of the HOD
• Undertakes on-going communication to students relating to all aspects of student income and to ensure the prompt and accurate dispatch of statements
• Ensures that all Fees charged are correct and that all students are charged accordingly
• Implements principles of customer care in assisting and advising students
• Captures ITS data affecting Student Accounts, to ensure accurate and prompt amendments
• Ensures that all journals are processed onto ITS in alignment with different account types
• Develop a customer survey which will assist the department in improving its service that it offers to our clients.
• Design and develop work flow processes and submit to the HOD: Students Accounts.
