POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the interpretation of sensitive and confidential information in order to provide practical and strategic input to customers. Furthermore, the job incumbent will maintain the integrity of the information supplied to customers by ensuring that it is based on accurate and relevant data.

Responsibilities will include amongst others:

Researching statistics and data pertaining to the agricultural industry
Projecting possible patterns and trends in order to provide strategic input to customers
Managing data (ensure completeness, accuracy, integrity, validity and context of data)
Recruiting and sourcing of new customers
Growing and maintaining existing customers relationships
Developing new products in line with customer needs
Communicating and discussing reports with customers
Resolving discrepancies in information
Reporting and administration

Required skills, experience and attributes:

Tertiary qualification (BSc Agric or BCom Agricultural Economy)
Proven work experience in the agricultural industry
Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programmes such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
High attention to detail
Knowledge of grammar and punctuation
Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
Good verbal skills (English and Afrikaans)
Ability to take initiative and prepared to learn
Proactive and able to function on his/her own
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to organise, multitask and prioritise
Customer service-oriented
Willingness to travel
