Senior Analyst Developer - Cape Town

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Senior Analyst Developer with an IT Degree and 3 - 5 years experience as an Analyst Programmer - including exposure to Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Sharepoint: Application services framework including Implementation, Configuration, System integration, Testing, for a position based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Job Role

• Live and breathe Microsoft solutions and participate together with the IT team in building software solutions and leveraging the Microsoft suite capabilities to meet and exceed business and end user expectations.
• Your specialized knowledge of Microsoft specifically and System Analysis, Creation and Testing of low to medium complex applications generally, will be a key success factor in providing relevant technical solutions to a variety of end user impacting scenarios.
• Work closely with a cross functional team and support the systems designers with new or complex systems and solutions as the team co-create sustainable end-user experiences.

 Responsibilities

Accountable for optimizing Microsoft solutions in the business - Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online).

• Analyze the business requirements by collaborating with the stakeholders and IT Management, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Perform software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using Office 365 APIs.
• Implement custom solutions that leverage various Office 365 services.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc.
• Microsoft Power Platform – MS PowerApps, MS Flow and PowerBI.
• Analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps.
• Developing new PowerApps model and canvas driven apps as well as enhancing existing apps.
• Applying PowerApps formulas and development methods.
• Flow licensing - automating business processes with Microsoft Flow.
• Ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Flow.
• API or rest services integrations - implementing solutions with multiple data sources.
• Developing Azure logic apps Developing Azure functions.
• Providing Power BI development and support.
• Leading edge Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies such as Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365,  Microsoft Azure.
• Applying working knowledge on .Net, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Other deliverables that will be beneficial when delivering in this role includes:
  • SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, SQL and workflow creation.
  • SQL and RDBMS technologies.
  • Creating and configuring SharePoint i ntake workflow applications.
  • Developing modern apps for SharePoint Online.

 Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems / B.Sc Computer Science / B.Eng (or similar)

Experience

• 3 - 5 years experience as an Analyst Programmer - including exposure to Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Sharepoint: Application services framework including      Implementation, Configuration, System integration, Testing (unit, system, performance, integration and volume), design frameworks, architecture - (essential).
• Extensive, relevant and demonstrable job related experience in Systems Analysis related activities in an Analyst Programming capacity - (essential).
• Exposure to and an understanding of Corporate, Retail, Financial environment in a similar role – (essential).

Additional Experience (preferred)

• Building Office 365 solutions including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online.
• Expert knowledge of building web parts, apps, page layouts and content types using the O365 API.
• Visual Studio and TFS or other source control management tools.
• JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Front end frameworks (React, Angular).
• SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services (a plus)
• Any additional experience to both Waterfall and Agile projects - (preferred).
