SUMMARY:
An established investment banking and financial advisory firm is looking for a driven Senior Analyst to join its Private Credit Advisory team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on capital raising (private debt and equity), M&A, and strategic advisory transactions across Africa, with a particular focus on high-impact sectors like financial services, fintech, climate finance, digital lending, and embedded finance.
You’ll be involved in live deal execution, gain cross-border exposure, and work closely with a highly experienced team across dynamic, fast-paced transactions.

POSITION INFO:

What You’ll Do

Support execution of transactions through financial analysis, research, and due diligence
Build and maintain complex financial models and valuation tools
Prepare pitch decks, information memoranda, and investor presentations
Conduct market, company, and sector research to inform deal positioning
Assist with due diligence, investor engagement, and transaction documentation
Collaborate with teams across M&A, funds, and operations
Track investor activity, regulatory changes, and market developments across Africa

What You Bring

Degree in Finance, Economics, Investments, Accounting, or related field
2–4 years of full-time experience in:
- Private credit funds
- FIG investment banking
- Credit ratings or equity research (financial services)
- Audit (financial services team)
Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
High attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure
A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to manage independent workstreams
Right to work in South Africa or Zimbabwe, with availability to work in Johannesburg or Harare

Bonus Points If You Have:

CFA Level I or higher (or similar qualification)
Familiarity with deal execution platforms, data rooms, or investor outreach tools
Experience working on private equity transactions or capital raising processes
