SUMMARY:

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for leading large-scale architectural projects from initial concept through to construction and closeout. The Senior Architect will play a central role in delivering iconic, design-led developments, ensuring creative excellence, technical rigor, and successful project execution.
Ideal for a visionary professional with a strong technical background and a passion for urban innovation, this position combines strategic design leadership with hands-on project delivery across a range of high-profile developments.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Develop innovative and context-driven design concepts and translate them into fully realized architectural solutions.
• Lead the design and documentation process across all project phases, from feasibility to completion.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Produce and oversee high-quality construction documentation and detailing.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and maintain alignment with design standards and project goals.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to resolve complex architectural and site-related challenges.
• Ensure quality assurance and adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Contribute to continuous design innovation and technical refinement within the practice.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

• Registered Professional Architect with SACAP.
• Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong academic qualifications from a recognised architectural institution.
• Proven experience managing large, complex projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, hospitality, civic, education, and mixed-use developments.

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Revit and BIM Common Data Environment (CDE); completion of Revit assessment required.
• Advanced construction detailing and documentation capabilities.
• Solid understanding of BIM workflows, modelling techniques, and collaboration protocols.
• Familiarity with Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong grasp of construction methodologies, building systems, and relevant regulations.
• Ability to assess technical and commercial feasibility of projects.
